RJS Corporation had its formation in 1948 in Akron, Ohio USA, beginning as a contract manufacturer of machine parts and assemblies. The company quickly began making proprietary designs of machinery, and today offers a line of supporting equipment to the tire industry. RJS employs about 50 people.

The staff at RJS is prepared to engineer complete projects around its product line, or RJS will supply its products for projects handled by others.

The business philosophy at the firm is to offer high quality products which are not commonly available from others, and to strive to make the product the leader in its sphere of use.

The tire industry in the U.S. long ago became worldwide, and many tire firms opened factories overseas. Today, many European and Asian tire firms have become global, competing with American firms in the process.

More than thirty years ago, RJS began overseas selling of its tire equipment line, and today perhaps 75% of RJS sales are delivered outside the United States.

To bolster its overseas selling, RJS is associated with sales agents in Europe, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Indonesia, Turkey, and Israel. Sales of tire making machinery within the United States and a few other locations abroad are handled directly from RJS office.

RJS seeks to enhance the value of its products by employing state-of-the-art engineering design. For this purpose, RJS maintains an engineering staff to keep its products up to date, as well as to design new products. Currently, the staff has completed the design of the Quick-Thread Organizer, for quickly organizing the cords from the creel, of which several have already been sold. Also recently completed are improvements in the RJS TIRE Plunger Test machine.
